Vertex backhoe, also called a rear actor or back actor, is a piece of excavating equipment or digger consisting of a digging bucket on the end of a two- part articulated arm. In the Laboratory of Modelling and Simulation we have designed a backhoe simulator using the most innovative techniques. The backhoe is one of the most versatile tractor- like vehicles in the areas of construction and road works useful for digging. It is designed to meet the highest demands in terms of safety and overall life of the machine.
