Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is the idea that a company should play a positive role in the community and consider the environmental and social impact of business decisions. It is closely linked to sustainability − creating economic, social, and environmental value and Road safety which stands for Environmental, Social and Governance. All three focus on non-financial factors that companies, large and small, should consider when making business decisions.
In recent years, there has been a shift from CSR to social purpose. Many companies have pivoted from having a community investment strategy and a ‘nice to have’ mindset to working for Road safety awareness. We are vertex and work with many corporate companies to support them in making awareness of road safety by providing road safety equipment or Road safety programs according to their needs.

Regular driving training and Graduate licensing can be upgraded/started by providing a simulator, dual control vehicle, establishment of workshops, classrooms, practical halls, testing tracks etc.

This scheme can be a workout with existing industrial training institutes (ITI) and degree/diploma engineering colleges, where infrastructure such as ground, classrooms and automobile workshops are already available.

The corporate can sponsor Vertex for movable infrastructure such as vehicles, training tools, and cut section models and also import training to upgrade the skills and knowledge of driving instructors. Vertex can able to execute the Training in a different location with manpower.

Vertex can work jointly with the Highways department with Corporate collaboration in road safety while designing the road is a well-accepted fact. The world of the road should be forgiving so that the mistakes of the drivers can be absorbed to some extent.

Also, the road shall give intimation of incoming changes and dangers to the drivers. e.g. Proper road marking and road signs, shock absorbing barricades, additional survival side space, roundabout traffic light signals, and redesigning of roads with pedestrian facilities such types of work can be undertaken by corporate in association with Local Corporations/PWD and Police Authority etc.

Vertex's work on the creation of small animation films, documentaries on causes of accidents and safe use of automobiles may be effectively made of a mass awareness campaign. Preparing a mobile exhibition van with concepts such as pedestrian safety, use of helmets, and seat belt, how the use of mobile or other distractions become the cause of the accident, use of mass transport to reduce pollution as well as to reduce the risks of accidents can be included in the themes in the exhibition. Vertex can help corporate and jointly work for them in Awareness.

Creation of a Traffic Children Park will be a prominent activity to help the school-going children to know the actual road seen, infrastructure in road transport, care required to be taken while using the road and also give a chance of getting feeling of actual use of the road.

One traffic park in one metro city will be an attraction not only for the school within the city but for schools nearby 50-100 km performable which can be included in their education trip. Vertex has vast experience in this segment of implementing Children's road safety parks.

" Catch them young " is a famous slogan of cultivating the concept for school level through the syllabus of state and central schools regarding road safety in units in different subjects and indifferent years. Vertex has developed a separate Syllabus for Road safety awareness for school children age-wise. Our concept and methodology are international level and enhance the children to develop their road safety and road rules.

However, consolidated efforts are required to be taken to review what is included and what level & what is required which require to constitutes a small committee of experts from the Traffic Police, Transport Department, Education Department, Psychologist and Transport experts are required to constituted and after preparing the syllabus it may be converted to workbooks.
